| a slightly dirty ode to caffeine: caffeine and I are fair weather friends with a bond that is both deep and true; caffeine is trusted to always be there when I have some "studying" to do. so together we tweak 'til dawn's dewy break while the textbooks are dutifully read but while caffeine is great for staying amused, it's really quite awful in bed. this much class is kicking my arse. so far, I wouldn't drop any course for anything but oh, graduation, hurry up and arrive already, please. I miss being able to count sleep as one of my most time-intensive hobbies. current music: psapp- hi | | |
| 1. Belly dancing class is going wonderfully, thanks. 2. I graduate in December, after which I plan on being nothing short of awesome. Professionally. 3. I'll be in the D/FW area this weekend if you're still around and want to go skip either stones or sweet feets. 4. Nothing makes my day shine like getting to witness a pack of college kids dash romp lolloping across campus with backbacks on. I mean that. Nothing is better than people running in backpacks except maybe fanny packs and sandles with socks. 5.

aaaaaand 6. that's all for now, dears. you know all that's important now.

| 1. Adventures of the Piratical Judo Chop will recommence next Monday. That week's featured pirated material is pretty dang awesome, so be sure to listen close.
2. There's a good chance that Harry and the Potters will be playing at A&M towards the end of the month. I'll keep you updated as events unfold. [edit] When I said "the end of the month," I meant the end of November. Just figured I'd clarify that.
3. Frequency will also begin posting new articles in a couple of weeks. I'm not sure how much I'll be contributing as far as writing goes, but I will be doing some networking with those who matter and working to promote the zine.
4. Recap: ADVENTURES of the PIRATICAL JUDO CHOP Mondays 12-1pm listen online at http://kanm.tamu.edu

| Finally, after weeks of breathless anticipation and much emptying of the bank account, we have internet at the duplex of the Fantastic Few. Let's celebrate.
First things first. There will be no typed up/hyped up account of popfest antics on here because 1) it's already preserved for posterity in my hand-written journal, 2) many o' you have already had to suffer through my rambling and gushing on the subject and 3) ifyou haven't heard the details and still want to, just ask and we'll talk awhile over coffee and crumpets.
In other news, the duplex in which Lauren, Noelle and I are living is finally starting to look like people actually live here. Books are strewn across the kitchen and living room tables, the fridge is full and miscellaneous decor is beginning to peep out of the corners. Pictures will be posted once things are all tacked up and curtained up. Meanwhile, you should probably come and visit.
A quick summation of things: classes are going well, big things are being planned, and t-shirts for organizations are being made. A picture of those will be posted sometime soon, too, so that even you who are far away might place an order for something fantastic.
My new favorite thing to do is exploring old, abandoned buildings... not that I've actually done so yet. Instead, we rubbed circles of light in dust-caked windows and peered through, cupping fingers around eyes like binoculars to magnify the vast empty spaces arching away behind the glass. Sometimes, piles of brick and morter could be seen crumbled around old fireplaces, or sprawling mosaics hidden beneath dirt and Pepsi cans on the floor. I can't help imagining what might've happened in these places to chase everyone away, or why they're being secreted and saved for the highest bidder. Whatever the case, I want to go explore.
